Unified communications in 2026 is a phone system plus the meeting tool you already use. SimpleVoice is NewRockIT’s hosted PBX. Teams can stay the meeting place. The office network still has to carry the calls.
Unified communications in 2026 is a phone system, a meeting tool, and chat that staff will actually open. NewRockIT’s hosted phone system is SimpleVoice. Microsoft Teams can stay the place meetings happen. We do not claim a market rank we have not earned, and we do not sell a closet key system as if it were a cloud PBX.
What hybrid work actually needs
People split time between the office, a truck, and home. The business number has to ring in more than one place. That is a hosted PBX job: extensions, auto attendants, queues, and apps. A meeting in Teams is a different job. You can keep Teams for meetings and use SimpleVoice for the phones. You do not have to buy one suite and hope it does both well.
What we will not promise
We will not invent a market rank, AI scheduling, virtual backgrounds, or an analytics dashboard and call that the product. Specs, pricing, and number porting live on simplevoice.net. Standard is $24.50 per user per month. Human help desk is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central.
The network still carries the calls
A hosted PBX rides the office network. Wi-Fi dead spots, a guest network that can see the file server, and a backup that fills the circuit will make phones sound bad even when the phone provider is fine. NewRockIT does not sell the internet circuit. We do look at whether the building can carry voice before numbers move. The longer version is the office-network article on this site. The service page is at /services/voip/.
