Microsoft 365 & Azure Services in West Monroe, LA

NewRockIT plans, migrates, secures, and supports Microsoft 365 and Azure for organizations in West Monroe, Monroe, Ruston, and remote teams nationwide. The work is tenant-level—identity, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, MFA, and licensing—not a license reseller with no one to call after the invoice.

Microsoft 365 as an environment, not a box of licenses

Yes. NewRockIT can take over Microsoft 365 from another provider in West Monroe, Monroe, Ruston, or a remote tenant: we document what is there, fix identity and backup gaps, and take admin responsibility. Moving the license reseller is optional and can wait. Most Northeast Louisiana tenants we see already “have Microsoft 365.” Mail flows. Teams exists. SharePoint is a junk drawer. MFA is optional. Former employees still sign in. That is not a Microsoft problem; it is an ownership problem. NewRockIT takes ownership: identity first, then mail and files, then the collaboration layer, then Copilot if the data estate can bear it.

We are Microsoft-focused. We are not claiming a Partner-of-the-Year trophy or a tier we have not stated. Partner catalog offers on the Microsoft offers page are optional commercial paths; they are not a substitute for tenant engineering. If those pages stay iframe-thin, treat them as catalogs, not the service.

Azure shows up when there is a real workload: a VM that should not live under someone’s desk, a site-to-site VPN, or hosting for an app we built. Azure for its own sake is how bills grow. We will say when on-premises or Microsoft 365 alone is enough.

Migrations, identity, and the work after cutover

Migrations from another tenant, from Google Workspace, or from leftover on-premises Exchange are planned with a mail-flow and identity checklist, not a Friday-night hope. Shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and the one printer that authenticates oddly get written down first.

Identity work in 2026 is the security work. MFA, Conditional Access, privileged account hygiene, and joiner/leaver process beat a new firewall for most SMBs. That story is expanded on the cybersecurity page and in the identity-first article. We will not leave Global Admin as a shared password in a notebook.

Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive need governance that matches a 15- or 50-person company, not an enterprise toolkit nobody will run. Retention, external sharing, and “where does this file actually live” are the questions. Copilot comes after that, or it will cheerfully summarize the wrong files. We wrote about that failure mode separately rather than selling AI as a default add-on.

Licensing without theater

We help you buy the SKU you will use. Business Premium covers a large fraction of Northeast Louisiana professional firms when it is configured. E3/E5 is for requirements you can name. We will not upsell a stack to decorate a proposal.

If you already buy licenses through another partner, we can still administer the tenant. Taking over Microsoft 365 does not require moving the commercial relationship on day one.

Ongoing admin—guest cleanup, new sites, device join, backup of Exchange and OneDrive—belongs in managed IT once the project is done. A one-time hardening that nobody maintains is a brochure, not a result.

What is included

  • Microsoft 365 migration and tenant setup
  • Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive configuration
  • Identity security: MFA, Conditional Access, and best-practice baselines
  • Azure infrastructure planning and hybrid cloud guidance
  • Licensing optimization and cost control
  • End-user training and adoption playbooks

How we work

  1. Read the current tenant before changing it: domains, MFA state, shared mailboxes, guest users, backup, and who still has Global Admin.
  2. A written target: migration, hardening, or cleanup—not a bundle of unused E5 logos.
  3. Implementation in maintenance windows you can live with, plus end-user notes that are short enough people will read them.
  4. Ongoing administration can sit inside managed IT so the tenant does not drift back to default.

On-site vs remote

Almost all Microsoft 365 work is remote. On-site days in the Twin Cities or Ruston are for training, new-office network work that supports the tenant, or leadership workshops—not for “sitting in the server room to move mailboxes.”

Cities we serve

West Monroe–based administration for Ouachita Parish, Lincoln Parish, and nationwide remote users on the same tenant.

Frequently asked questions

Can you take over Microsoft 365 from another provider?+

Yes. We document the tenant, fix identity and backup gaps, and take admin responsibility. Moving the license reseller is optional and can wait.

Do you sell Microsoft licenses?+

We can help you purchase through partner channels when it helps. The core offer is implementation and administration, not a shopping cart.

Will users have to change their email address?+

Usually no. Domain and address design is part of discovery. Cutover plans keep mail flowing while DNS and identity move.

Do you set up MFA and Conditional Access?+

Yes. That is default work, not a premium add-on we hide. Exact policies depend on how people travel and whether you have shared workstations.

Can you help with Azure?+

Yes, when there is a named workload. We will not stand up Azure resources because a diagram looked complete.

Do you support nationwide remote staff on our tenant?+

Yes. Location of the mailbox does not change the identity standard. Help desk remains business hours Central time unless agreed otherwise.

Is Copilot included?+

Not by default. Copilot is useful after permissions and file hygiene are in order. We will say when it is premature.

How is this different from calling Microsoft support?+

Microsoft support does not know your joiner/leaver process, your backup product, or the line-of-business app next to Exchange. We do, because we own the environment with you.
