Our cloud PBX—same person who runs your IT

VoIP is the technology that carries calls over the internet. A cloud PBX—also called hosted VoIP or a hosted phone system—is the business layer on top: extensions, auto attendants, queues, voicemail, and recording, in the cloud instead of a box in the closet. SimpleVoice is that product, from NewRockIT. See what a cloud PBX is on the product site. This page is how we sell and run it for Northeast Louisiana shops without a second vendor who does not know the network.

National UCaaS suites (RingCentral-class) sell a collaboration stack most ten-person firms will not use. A $14 virtual number is the other extreme: a professional caller ID on a cell phone, not a phone system. SimpleVoice sits in the middle—a real hosted PBX at a published per-user price. The part a portal cannot see is still ours: QoS on the LAN, Wi-Fi that does not drop voice, Microsoft 365 next to the dialer, and a named person in West Monroe when something breaks.

One practice owns the phones

Call flows, number porting, E911, STIR/SHAKEN, apps, and US-based phone support sit in SimpleVoice. Discovery, network readiness, Microsoft 365, desk-phone decisions, and managed IT sit in the same NewRockIT practice. You are not buying a white-label from a catalog and hoping a carrier picks up. Specs, comparisons, and signup are on simplevoice.net because that is the product site—not because someone else owns the relationship.

  • SimpleVoice cloud PBX from $24.50 per user per month
  • Keep existing 318 and US business numbers (number porting)
  • Unlimited auto attendants, call queues, and recording on Standard
  • Desk phone, mobile, and desktop apps on one presence
  • Network readiness so voice is not an afterthought on the LAN
  • Same practice as Microsoft 365 and managed IT—not a second vendor

Porting, fax, Teams, and the office network

Porting keeps the 318 numbers customers already dial. How a port works, including what the current carrier has to release, is on SimpleVoice number porting. We do not publish a day count for a port.

Digital fax is Premium, not Standard. Premium is $34.50 per user per month and includes one fax number per three seats. Standard stays $24.50 and does not include fax, SMS, or transcription.

Microsoft Teams can stay the meeting place. SimpleVoice is the phone system: extensions, queues, and the desk or mobile app that rings the business number. You do not have to pick one product for both jobs.

The office network still carries the calls. A faster internet plan does not fix Wi-Fi, a guest network that can see the file server, or phones that fall apart when a backup runs. NewRockIT does not sell the internet circuit. Read why your internet plan is not your office network.

SimpleVoice plans at $24.50 per user

Standard is $24.50 per user per month as of August 2026. A 10-user team is $245/month for a full PBX. Confirm live rates, taxes, and the 30-day guarantee on SimpleVoice pricing. Managed IT around the phones is a separate engagement after discovery—the seat price is the phone system, not a bait IT menu.

How we get you live

  1. Discovery call: current numbers, call volume, who answers, internet path, and whether Microsoft 365 sits next to the phones.
  2. Network check: bandwidth, Wi-Fi, and whether voice should be prioritized. Dropped calls are usually a LAN problem, not a “VoIP is bad” problem.
  3. Call flows: attendants, queues, after-hours, and number porting so the website and truck wraps do not change.
  4. Go-live and training during business hours. Phone support and the rest of the environment stay with us.

Who it is for

Small businesses replacing a cell phone or an aging key system. Clinics and law offices that need recording and private routing without an enterprise contract. Healthcare clinics, construction and trades, and multi-location teams that keep a 318 identity while staff work from a truck, a second office, or home. Industry setups and comparisons: SimpleVoice solutions.

On-site by arrangement in West Monroe, Monroe, Ruston, Calhoun, Bastrop, and the rest of Ouachita Parish. Remote nationwide for the same phone system and the same Microsoft tenant.

Managed IT

Frequently asked questions

What is SimpleVoice?+

SimpleVoice is NewRockIT’s hosted business phone system (https://simplevoice.net): cloud PBX, number porting, E911, and US-based phone support. The same West Monroe practice that runs Microsoft 365 and managed IT owns the phones—call flows, go-live, and the named person when something sounds wrong. Specs and signup live on simplevoice.net.

How much does hosted VoIP cost?+

Standard is $24.50 per user per month. Premium is $34.50. Enterprise is custom for 50+ users. Unlimited auto attendants, queues, and recording are included on Standard—not add-ons. Confirm current rates on https://simplevoice.net/pricing. Telecom taxes and regulatory fees can still apply.

Can we keep our existing phone numbers?+

Yes. Number porting moves 318 and other US business numbers to SimpleVoice so customers keep dialing the same line. In most cases there is no downtime. Details: https://simplevoice.net/number-porting

Do we need new desk phones?+

No. iOS, Android, and desktop apps are enough. Many existing SIP desk phones can be reprovisioned. New hardware is optional, not a requirement.

Is this a virtual number like Grasshopper, or a real phone system?+

SimpleVoice is a hosted PBX (cloud PBX): auto attendants, queues, recording, extensions, and multi-device presence. A virtual number puts a professional caller ID on a cell phone; it is not a full office system. See https://simplevoice.net/cloud-pbx.

Do you serve West Monroe, Monroe, and Ruston?+

Yes. SimpleVoice is sold and supported from West Monroe for teams in Monroe, Ruston, Calhoun, Bastrop, and nationwide remote staff on the same system. City pages: https://simplevoice.net/locations.

Is phone support 24/7?+

US-based support covers the phone system. NewRockIT human help desk and on-site work are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central unless a written agreement says otherwise. Monitoring of covered IT systems can run continuously. We do not claim overnight on-site coverage.

Is SimpleVoice HIPAA certified for clinics?+

No. SimpleVoice offers encrypted voice paths, recording when you enable it, and a conversation about a BAA when your compliance team needs one. We will not call that a HIPAA certification. Clinic work starts with identity, backups, and honest scope.

How fast can we go live?+

Many teams launch in a few days once call flows are decided. Number porting is the usual variable. We will not promise a Friday-night cutover if the circuit, DNS, or port window is not actually ready.

What about internet quality and dropped calls?+

VoIP is only as good as the path it rides. Discovery includes bandwidth, Wi-Fi, and whether voice should be prioritized on the LAN. That network work is our managed IT—not something a phone portal can fix from the cloud.
